Return & Refund Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
At The Wee Shoppie, we want our returns and refunds process to be clear and straightforward. This policy explains how returns, cancellations, exchanges, and refunds are handled for purchases made through theweeshoppie.uk.
Our policy is designed to operate alongside applicable UK consumer rights. UK rules provide cancellation rights for most online purchases, subject to certain exceptions, and require refunds for goods that are faulty, not as described, or do not perform as expected.
1. 30-Day Return Period
We offer a 30-day return period starting from the date your order is delivered.
To be eligible for a standard return, the item should be:
- In the same condition as received
- Unused and unworn, except for reasonable inspection
- Complete with its original accessories and components
- In its original packaging where reasonably possible
- In a condition suitable for return
Customers may inspect goods as they reasonably would in a physical shop. Where an item has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary and its value has been reduced, this may affect the amount refunded where permitted by law.
Our 30-day policy does not limit any statutory rights you may have for faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or misdescribed goods.
2. Non-Returnable Items
Certain products may be excluded from change-of-mind returns where permitted by law, including:
- Personalised or custom-made products
- Perishable goods
- Sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed
- Other products for which a statutory cancellation exception applies
This does not affect your legal rights where an item is faulty, damaged, misdescribed, or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
3. How to Start a Return
To request a return, contact us at:
Email: support@theweeshoppie.uk
Please provide:
- Your order number
- The item or items you wish to return
- The reason for the return
- Photos or other relevant information if the product arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect
We will provide the applicable return instructions and return address.
Please contact us before sending your return so that we can provide the correct instructions.
4. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order after delivery.
If you receive an item that is damaged, faulty, or different from what you ordered, contact us as soon as reasonably possible at support@theweeshoppie.uk.
Please include your order number and details of the problem. We may request photographs or other information reasonably necessary to assess the issue.
Where applicable, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights, which may include a refund, repair, or replacement.
UK consumer rules require traders to provide remedies for faulty, misdescribed, or otherwise non-conforming goods.
5. Change-of-Mind Cancellation Rights
For most goods purchased online, UK consumers have a statutory right to cancel without giving a reason.
Generally, you have 14 days after receiving your goods to tell us that you wish to cancel. You then generally have a further 14 days to return the goods.
Our voluntary 30-day return period provides additional time for eligible standard returns and does not reduce your statutory cancellation rights.
To exercise your cancellation rights, contact:
6. Return Shipping Costs
For an eligible change-of-mind return under our standard returns process, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the item unless we have agreed otherwise.
Where goods are faulty, damaged on arrival, incorrect, or otherwise do not conform to the contract, return costs will be handled in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
We recommend using an appropriate tracked delivery service when returning goods.
7. Refunds
Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect and process the return.
Where a refund is due, it will normally be issued to the original payment method.
For statutory cancellation returns, refunds will be made within the time required by applicable UK law. For returned goods, this is generally within 14 days of receiving the goods back or receiving evidence that they have been sent back, where applicable.
Where required by law, the refund will also include the cost of the standard outbound delivery option. Any additional amount paid for a more expensive delivery method may not be refundable beyond the standard delivery cost.
After a refund has been issued, your bank or payment provider may require additional processing time before the funds appear in your account.
8. Order Cancellations Before Dispatch
If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible at:
If the order has already been dispatched, you may need to receive it and follow the applicable return process.
This does not limit any cancellation rights available to you under UK consumer law.
9. Exchanges
If you would like to exchange an eligible item, please contact us at support@theweeshoppie.uk.
Exchanges are subject to product availability. If a replacement is unavailable, an appropriate refund may be provided where applicable.
10. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Return & Refund Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or replace your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer protection law.
Google Merchant Center requires return information to clearly state matters such as the return window, method, fees, conditions, and refund handling, and the information displayed on the website should remain consistent with the return policy configured in Merchant Center.
